"Family and relational poverty": presentation of the Report 2020 of the Family International Monitor

On July 5, 2021, in collaboration with the Pontifical Theological Institute John Paul II, the Family International Monitor will present the 2020 report on Family and Relational Poverty.


During the event Francesco Belletti, Director of CISF and Research Manager of the Family International Monitor, will speak about the salient aspects of the research report and the entire project, carried out by international teams from 12 countries.


Also speaking will be Gian Carlo Blangiardo, Director of ISTAT, Matteo Rizzolli, Professor of Economics and Politics at the John Paul II Pontifical Theological Institute, and Moira Monacelli of Caritas Internationalis.


Live coverage of the event will be broadcast on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the Pontifical Theological Institute John Paul II and on the Family International Monitor website on July 5, 2021 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Commenting on the data - quantitative and qualitative - collected during 2019 and part of 2020 on the lives of families in Benin, Brazil, Chile, Haiti, India, Italy, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Qatar, Spain, South Africa, with the direct involvement of research teams from local universities and academic institutes, will be Dr. Francesco Belletti, Scientific Director FIM and Director Cisf of Milan, prof. Gian Carlo Blangiardo, President of ISTAT and professor at JP2 Institute, Prof. Matteo Rizzolli, professor of Politics and Economics of Family Institutions at JP2 Institute, and Dr. Moira Monacelli, Head of International Development Department of Caritas Internationalis, who will help us to understand how, based on the experience of Caritas, the pandemic has affected the role of women in the family and in the community at the global level.


The reflection will see the introduction of the Grand Chancellor Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia, and the conclusions of the Dean Msgr. Pierangelo Sequeri.
